Sun Princess is preparing 3 signature shows and a reimagined favorite. These can be experienced through 2 state-of-the-art performance venues in time for the ship’s February 2024 debut.
Sun Princess has made headlines for many reasons. When it sails, the Sphere-class cruise ship will be the biggest in Princess Cruises’ fleet and the company’s first LNG-powered vessel. It also sports a distinctive dome that transforms from a pool to an entertainment facility from day to night.
On Wednesday, the line announced that the milestone ship will also unveil 4 new shows that can be enjoyed through 2 impressive facilities: the Princess Arena with a 270-degree keyhole layout and a more conventional proscenium theater.
3 New Musicals and an Updated Classic
Its new shows are all musicals that encompass different genres and decades.
Vallora, A Pirate Quest tells the tale of a woman in search of lost love and family. Watch it for nostalgia-inducing songs from the 80s like “Sweet Dreams,” “Eye of the Tiger,” “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now,” and “You’re the Inspiration.”
For a more Broadway-style production, Stage Struck awaits classics such as “Take Me or Leave Me,” “Danced All Night,” “On Broadway,” and “One Night Only.”Â
Passengers who are into Latin beats will surely enjoy Viva La Música and its collection of Latin-inspired soundtracks “Havana,” “Rhythm Is Gonna Get You,” “I Like It Like That,” and ” “Oye Como Va.” Guests can also join in with their own dance moves.
Finally, the Princess Cruises’ favorite, Fiera!, will be reimagined onstage with medleys that combine danceable tracks like “Sweet Child of Mine” and “Born This Way.”
All the shows have been professionally choreographed, produced, and directed by well-known talents that, including Danny Teeson, Karen Bruce, and Liz Imperio.
