Royal Caribbean has announced new dining details on its upcoming vessel Wonder of the Seas, which just so happens to be the largest cruise ship in the world.
Setting sail this March, passengers will be able to choose from over 20 dining venues, including a brand-new restaurant called The Mason Jar Southern Restaurant & Bar.
The Mason Jar
Where southern comfort food meets Royal Caribbean’s hospitality, The Mason Jar invites guests to share a meal and drinks in an inviting, casual setting. The new specialty restaurant sets the scene with a farmhouse style complete with rustic decor, live country music, and a porch decked out with a swing for lounging. At the center of it all: a bar serving up an assortment of southern specialties.
On the menu at The Mason Jar are southern staples alongside new twists on classic dishes. It will be open for brunch, dinner, and for late-night bites, starting with freshly-baked buttermilk biscuits and jalapeño cornbread.
Brunch will include things like savory johnnycakes topped with barbecue pulled pork and the Sweet-Tooth Cinnamon Roll.
Dinner highlights include fried green tomatoes, southern fried chicken, crab beignets with lump crab dip, and shrimp and grits. For dessert, everything from traditional pies to spiked floats and shakes are on offer.
The venue will also serve over a dozen American whiskeys and a lineup of southern libations such as the classic mint julep and Mississippi Moonlight made with blackberry moonshine, blackberries, and lemonade.
Whether at a table for dinner with the family or the bar for a bite, nightcap, and live music, The Mason Jar will be a hotspot both day and night.
