During a 30-day dry dock, Carnival Vista underwent several renovations. The 2016-built cruise ship now has a new livery on its hull, new stores, an arcade, a teen club, and a larger casino.
If you have an upcoming trip onboard Carnival Vista or are considering sailing on it, you’ve got a few snazzy upgrades to look forward to. You’ll immediately see more of Carnival’s signature branding from the outside. The hull has been updated to feature the company’s signature blue, red, and white colors.Â
Inside, a Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge has been added in keeping with the cruise line’s efforts to honor retired and active-duty service members.Â
You’ll also notice that the casino is more extensive, boasting a new layout and a non-smoking area.Â
New retail outlets exist for cruisers who love to shop, including the candy store Cherry on Top and Effy Jewelry relocation.Â
Meanwhile, teens will enjoy the new Club O2 and an arcade that’s been renovated and relocated.Â
The casual dining area, Lido Marketplace, also has a new look.
About Carnival Vista
At 133,000 gross registered tons, the Carnival Vista offers year-round cruises from Port Canaveral to the Caribbean, carrying up to 4,000 guests at a time.
Passengers sail on 6- and 8-day itineraries that stop at Half Moon Cay in the Bahamas, San Juan in Puerto Rico, Grand Turk in Turks & Caicos, St. Thomas, and St. Maarten.Â
It repositioned from Galveston to Port Canaveral late last year, joining other Carnival ships, Mardi Gras, Carnival Liberty, and Carnival Freedom.
It is the first of three Vista-class cruise ships. These cruise ships are the only ones in the Princess fleet with an exclusive Havana area and venue with a private pool and sun deck.Â
Vista’s most popular guest amenities include the IMAX movie theater, the WaterWorks aqua park, and SkyRide. There are more than 30 dining options, and many are open around the clock.
