Disney Details Massive New Cruise Ship for Singapore

For the first time, Disney Cruise Line (DCL) is entering the Asian market. The Disney Adventure is scheduled to sail from Singapore in 2025, offering guests many new onboard amenities.

A large cruise ship named Disney Adventure is shown sailing on calm waters under a clear blue sky. The ship, destined for Singapore in 2025, features the classic Disney color scheme with a black hull and yellow lifeboats.

“We’re bringing the magic of Disney Cruise Line to Asia for the first time ever and we want to give our guests the cruise relaxation and Disney fun they can only experience aboard one of our ships,” announced DCL Senior Vice President and General Manager Sharon Siskie in a press release

Describing the amenities onboard, Siskie added, “When they set sail on the Disney Adventure, guests will find incredible, immersive areas that bring the worlds of Disney, Pixar, and Marvel to life in ways like never before…”

Disney’s new home port is thanks to a partnership between the cruise line and the Singapore Tourism Board. Based on their agreement, DCL can offer sailings from Singapore for five years, starting in 2025.

DCL promises impressive family-friendly areas onboard Disney Adventure, including a garden, a street market, a wide selection of dining options, a poolside retreat, and a venue where guests can meet their favorite on-screen characters.

The company’s sixth cruise ship will host three- and four-night itineraries from Singapore’s Marina Bay Cruise Center. Here are some areas passengers can explore:

  • Disney Imagination Garden is an open-air performance area with a “charming garden” and an “enchanted valley.”
  • San Fransokyo Street is inspired by Big Hero 6. It’s a street market with cinemas, interactive games, and shops.
  • Disney Discovery Reef is a shopping and dining venue that features a nautical theme.
  • Based on the animated film Moana, Wayfinder Bay offers a poolside getaway that celebrates the Pacific Islands.
  • The Town Square is a mix of shops, entertainment areas, restaurants, lounges, and cafes. The summery destination honors popular Disney films like Frozen, Tangled, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and more.
  • Marvel Landing was designed for fans of the Avengers. It hosts experiences and attractions that imaginatively highlight the conglomerate’s superheroes.
  • Toy Story Place invites vacationers to engage in whimsical and interactive play. The locale also offers themed dining and water play areas.

The vessel’s entertainment options also include musical stage shows, karaoke, first-run films, signature events, and game shows.

Weighing 208,000 gross tons, Disney Adventure is the cruise line’s biggest ship. It can host up to 6,700 guests and approximately 2,500 crew members.
