Princess Cruises Offers Price Matching on Lowest Published Fares

Princess Cruises announced that it would match the lowest price available for the same cruise, price, and stateroom if guests hadn’t made their final payment.

Cruisers often worry about booking a cruise and then discovering that the exact itinerary is being sold at a lower rate.

However, with Princess Cruises’ latest offer, guests who have already made a deposit can now enjoy more competitive fares. Additionally, the company will provide free onboard credits equivalent to 120% of the price difference.

“Our new guarantee underscores the Princess commitment to offering unparalleled value and exceptional service to guests…value that is unmatched by land-based vacations,” explained Princess Cruises Chief Commercial Officer Terry Thornton.

Thornton added that 2025 sailings are filling up quickly, with booked itineraries almost 30% higher than previous periods. He encouraged the public to secure their spots as early as possible. “…securing your spot early has never been more important and this offer not only guarantees the best rates but also ensures guests can choose their preferred dates and destinations,” the executive advised. 

How can booked passengers qualify for the Better Than Best Price Guarantee program?

• The lower fare must be for the same sailing, with an identical cruise, sail date, and stateroom type.
• Full payment hasn’t been remitted.
• The booking was made between July 1 and September 2, 2024. 
• The cruise leaves in 2025 or 2026.
• The lower rate found is active and publicly available for verification purposes.

Guests who find a better offer while meeting these conditions can submit a Guarantee Claim Form. Once approved, Princess Cruises will honor the lower price and grant the passenger free onboard credits based on the price difference.

Last year, the cruise line began rewarding guests who book early with the lowest prices.

As the date of the cruise nears, the fares increase. It also offered a Best Price Guarantee with slightly different mechanics.
