The lunch is in the main dining room, typically the smaller one, but that can vary depending on how many Diamond guests are onboard.

We got the menu if you’re curious about what the seasoned cruisers get to eat during their exclusive luncheon.

APPETIZER

  • Tuna and Salmon Crudo (petit greens, wonton crisp, sake-yuzu vinaigrette)
  • Natchitoches Meat Pies (official Louisiana state dish)
  • Caesar Salad (homemade dressing, croûton, parmesan)

ENTREE

  • Grilled Jumbo Shrimp (butternut-cauliflower gratin, creamy sun-dried tomato sauce)

The new menu is refreshed, including an option from Chef Emeril Lagasse. In July 2023, Carnival announced they were doing away with the Diamond VIFP lunch, but that decision was ultimately reversed after pushback from 1000s of VIFP Diamond guests.

Carnival Luminosa instead has Off the Grill burgers, which is located in the same spot where Guy’s Burger Joint is most often found — on the lido deck. If you’re heading out on this ship soon, here’s the Carnival Luminosa burgers menu to get your mouth watering ahead of time.

Through a partnership with Carnival Cruise Line, celebrity chef Emeril Lagasse created a New Orleans-inspired bistro on Carnival’s Excel-class ships, starting with Emeril’s Bistro 1396 aboard Mardi Gras.

The venue is back on Carnival Celebration, this time called Emeril’s Bistro 1397. Wondering what the numbers mean and why they’re different? 1396 was the hull number for Mardi Gras at the shipyard, and 1397 was Celebration‘s hull number.

Located in the Gateway Zone, Emeril’s Bistro is one of a few venues found in the travel-themed area onboard.

The venue is located on deck six in the Gateway zone and is themed around travel. It features cocktails themed after different countries as well as wines and beers from around the world. Above the bar, you’ll even find a flip departure board like you’d see at an old train station or airport.

If you’ve sailed on Mardi Gras, this space may look both familiar and new to you because this zone is the New Orleans-themed French Quarter on that ship. Latitudes Bar is in the same space as the Fortune Teller Bar is, except this venue has a lot more seating than Fortune Teller.

Canaletto costs $19 per person. Kids eating off the adult menu pay half price, or dine for free if they’re choosing from the kid’s menu. This dining experience is available on every Holland America cruise ship.
